Copy as Markdown from Google Docs
A long-awaited feature has finally arrived in Google Docs: Copy as Markdown. This simple addition makes it much easier to move content between Google Docs and IWL and other Markdown-based text tools without losing formatting or manually converting text to other formats.
How to use it
To copy text from Google Docs to IWL:
- Select the content you want.
- Click Edit > Copy as Markdown.

- Open IWL and paste — your text and formatting are preserved.

To go from IWL back to Google Docs:
- Copy the text normally in IWL.
- In Google Docs, choose Edit > Paste from Markdown.
This new workflow is ideal for anyone using Docs for collaborating alongside our powerful text analyzer.
